Over the span of traveling to Costa Rica for many years, both with my family and without, I have come to realize I love all of the adventurous activities I’ve done, just as much as I love the scenery and helping others.
One of my all time favorite memories goes all the way back to 2014 when I ziplined throughout the Costa Rican rain forest on the ricketiest zipline ever. Even though I’ve ziplined countless times, this time was especially scary because the zipline appeared to be barely put together with posts and cables, very limited structural support. Once in the middle of the forest, there is really no turning back, so it was terrifying to say the least. I was too small to zipline alone, so I was always stuck with being attached to another person. I love the thrill and fright of zip-lining, so it was a disappointment to go so slowly with another person. Yet, I still had so much fun!
The zipline place even had an ADORABLE dog follow us on the zipline. He would run ahead and meet us at the next platform. Miles of rainforest, rivers, canyons. We truly thought he would never catch up again, but then he was at the next stop. It was probably my favorite part the whole day, as I love dogs!!
At the end of the zipline, we ended at a beautiful waterfall. It was the perfect way to end an amazing day of ziplining through the lush Costa Rican rain forest.
