I visited some of my favorite spots in Barcelona during a segway tour around the city. We started by meeting at the Arco de Triunfo, which was built as the main entrance way to the Barcelona World Fair in 1888. There, we practiced

getting on and off the segway. Needless to say, it was absolutely terrifying at first. Luckily, we got the hang of it and it turned out to be so much fun.

Our first stop on our segways was the Cascada Monumental in Ciutadella Park. It was absolutely gorgeous and our first official Gaudi designed piece we saw. Antoni Gaudi, a famous Catalan

architect, designed countless monuments, parks, buildings, and cathedrals during the late 1800s and early

One of my personal favorite places during our segway tour of Barcelona put

us at the Olympic village and port. We overlooked the glimmering water to one side and the olympic buildings to the other. In fact,

we also learned the entire beach was man made and the sand was imported from Africa. I had no idea because it looked so incredibly real.1900s. His work is everywhere in Barcelona and

represents so much history in the beautifully put together work. Ciutadella Park, in particular, is quite large, so we rode around it often to get to our next places. We rode past the Barcelona zoo and Parliament de

Catalunya, just to name a couple spots.

Barcelona’s amazing art, architecture, and scenery lived up to its impressive reputation, and our segway tour was a great way to take in so many places in only one day!
